Firecreek Retreat, 249 Firecreek Rd., Burnsville, NC 28714

Just because I carry it well doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy, and I don’t need some help.  – Sam Fischer (musician)

Burnout doesn’t usually announce itself with flashing lights. It sneaks in quietly—through the constant rushing, the tightness in your chest, the way you push through when your body is asking you to slow down. Most women don’t realize they’re depleted until they’re already running on empty.

And it’s not your fault. We’ve been conditioned to stay busy, strive harder, and hold everything together. We tell ourselves that if we can just get past this season, this deadline, this pressure, then things will get easier. But ease doesn’t come from pushing. It comes from pausing long enough to ask: What do I need right now?

For so many women, burnout grows from the same root—perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the quiet belief that no matter how much we do, it’s still not enough. This retreat invites you to flip the script you’ve been handed and rewrite your personal operating instructions designed to support you, rather than deplete you.

Maddy and Kelley will serve as your trusted guides for this soul-nourishing retreat where women gather to breathe deeper, laugh louder, move their bodies, and reconnect with the version of themselves they’ve misplaced under the to-do lists.

Your experience includes:

  • Forest bathing walks that calm your nervous system

  • Invigorating hikes through the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains

  • A refreshing outdoor cold plunge and a lakeside sauna session

  • Morning embodied yoga flow in a breathtaking on-site barn

  • Afternoon guided meditations that help you return to center

  • Farm-to-table meals prepared by a private chef

This isn’t a retreat where you “do more.” It’s a retreat where you finally get to be—supported, nourished, and reminded of your own inner steadiness.

You’ll leave with:

  • A quieter mind and a renewed connection to your body and soul

  • Practical tools to prevent burnout before it starts

  • A more compassionate inner voice

  • A deeper connection to yourself and a community of women walking the same path

In a world that glorifies busyness, you deserve a space that honors your well-being.

If you’re ready to stop powering through and start nourishing yourself—mind, body, and soul—join us!

FAQ

Q: If I book with a friend, does that reduce the ticket price?

A: Booking with a friend does not reduce the price because each ticket is per person and includes accommodations, meals, activities, etc.

Q: What’s the difference between the tiny cabins and the creekside cabins?

A: The creekside cabins are more spacious and have a kitchenette w/ cooktop, refrigerator, coffee maker, heat and A/C as well as a bathroom and shower. The tiny cabins are equipped with a mini fridge, coffee maker and heat and A/C. There is no running water or bathroom facilities in the tiny cabins, however, the community barn (with bathrooms and showers) is less than 100ft. away.

Q: What fitness level do I need to have?

A: For the hikes, if you can walk on uneven terrain for 3-5 miles, going at your own pace, with pauses for rest and water, you’ll be fine! The yoga is beginner friendly, slow flow style and modifications can be done as your body needs.

Q: It’s just me, will that be awkward?

A: Not at all! We are all about solo travel and know how to create a welcoming experience for all! We will pair you with another solo traveler for your overnight accommodation, and you’ll have a new buddy!

Q: Do you have any single occupancy options?

A: Yes! We have 3 single occupancy accommodations in the tiny cabins.

Q: I’m coming with a friend, can we request shared accommodation?

A: Yes, and we will do our very best to arrange that. Note in your registration the name of the person you're requesting to room with. (You will need to have made the same accommodation selection.)

Q: What meals are included? And, can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

A: This retreat will includes 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 3 dinners. If we know about your dietary restrictions in advance we can provide menu alternate options. In your pre-retreat questionnaire we ask about food allergies and dietary restrictions. This feedback will help us customize all meals on retreat. In addition, you have the option to bring your own snacks and specialty food and store them in either your cabin or the community barn kitchen.

Q: I'm flying in. What's the closest airport?

A: Asheville airport is closest - 37 miles away and less than an hour drive. Charlotte airport is 103 miles away and a two hour drive (without traffic).

Q: What should I bring?

A: You will receive a packing list ahead of retreat with everything you need to bring.

Q: What is the age range of women attending this retreat?

A: We have an 18+ age requirement. Outside of that, we find that our retreats bring together a diverse group of like-minded women. It's less about age and more about mindset. The women who come on retreat with us vary in age, but all have in common a desire to step away from their busy lives, slow down, and reconnect with their true selves.

Q: What is your cancellation and refund policy?

A: A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to secure your spot on one of our retreats. The remaining balance is split between two payments and automatically processed with your original payment method. The first payment is processed sixty (60) days prior to the retreat. The second (and final) payment is processed thirty (30) days prior to the retreat. Should you need to cancel, you must log into your WeTravel account and stop future payments. Once payments have been processed, they cannot be reversed or refunded. *No refunds will be given to paid ticket holders for any reason, including sickness, cancellation, travel delays or no shows. Tickets cannot be transferred.

We aim to give our retreat participants an enjoyable and memorable, life-changing experience you will not want to miss! While not required, we strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unforeseen circumstances.
